Second-generation vintners, Hugh & Monique Davies, invite you to join them for a Pre-Bottle Rock kickoff event with their dear friends and fellow vintners, Jeff & Carolyn Smith, at Hourglass Winery across the valley for a celebration of Vintage & Vinyl. It was Jeff’s Father, Ned Smith, who was the realtor that first showed Hugh’s parents, Jack & Jamie Davies, the defunct Schramsberg Winery property sixty years ago as they searched for a home where they could raise a family and make “world class” sparkling wines. A year apart, Jeff and Hugh grew up together in St. Helena, taking an interest in a little mischief and music along the way. They are excited to bring their wines, teams, and fans together to party under the Vaca Range with some of the best 80’s songs and 90s-00s bottles on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend.
Step into an afternoon of nostalgia at Hourglass Winery, where the rhythm of ‘70s and ‘80s New Wave meets an extraordinary selection of wines spanning decades.
Savor a lineup of vintages from the ‘90s and 2000s, from Hourglass, Benchmark Wines, Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards, alongside a selection of current releases.
As you explore these delicious wines, live DJs will spin the best New Wave songs, filling the air with the synth-heavy, danceable anthems that defined an era. To complement the experience, Chef Brianna Buffington of Lemon Hill Catering will be serving a selection of small bites and wood-fired pizzas to keep your energy up as you dance, mingle and enjoy the company.
